The production team behind the world premiere
of CLASS
in 2006 was reunited for 2007's production. The revised
cast for the new
production was confirmed after
auditions in May 2007.
The team includes the key members of the
original CLASS production team:
Kirsty Eyre: writer and director.
Nigel Oatway: assistant director.
David Harvey: technical director.
We all have (or had!) day-jobs, and produced
CLASS in the remaining time!

Kirsty Eyre
“Bringing the
show …
ALIVE!” |
Kirsty Eyre:
Writer and Director
Kirsty Eyre is the writer and director of CLASS. After writing
and producing several musical pantomimes, drawing in the crowds at
London Waterloo’s Network Theatre she went on to write CLASS
in 2005.
Kirsty attained sponsorship from
Eurostar for her first pantomime (a sell-out) and was then commissioned
to write further musical productions: A Musical Murder Mystery,
You’re A Star Academy and Cattle Class. She went on to
translate her Musical Murder Mystery into French with a complete
comedy overhaul to suit French audiences in Paris.
On stage, Kirsty’s performances include
Dracula in Dracula, Anita Man Eater in Murder on the Eurostar,
Sarah in Female Transport and a mad doctor in Monsieur de
Pourceaugnac. She is also a member of a London dance company and has
choreographed stage work. This all contributes to Kirsty’s ability to
bring a script to life in a spectacularly visual way.
CLASS was a box office sell-out
at its Network Theatre debut, where it was directed by Kirsty in
June 2006. It is now back by popular demand.

David Harvey
“Smooth
running
behind the scenes”
|
David Harvey: Technical Director
David Harvey is technical director and stage manager for CLASS. He has been contributing
to smooth-running behind the scenes in a range of capacities for over 25
years. He started in secondary school and subsequently with a number of
amateur dramatic societies, with a foray into student TV at university.
Involved in almost 50 productions to date,
David has experience in a wide range of skills including set design and
construction, sound design and operation, flying and crewing, in
theatres of varying design including traditional proscenium arch (with
and without flying) and studio/in-the-round settings.
In about a third of those productions
David has been stage manager (including CLASS), priding himself
in arranging for effective and snag-free running of the production,
through careful planning and preparation, and full collaboration with
the director and all departments. At present David is Company Stage
Manager for Network Theatre.
