Richard Layman, "Lothario" to his mates, is
the latest casualty of the credit crunch. From Super-hero of the trading
floors of Canary Wharf to Super-zero of the West End's sleazier side,
Richard loses everything - his job, his wife, his home. But does that maketh
the man? Or is there more to him than even he knows? News: February 2008 The Suburban Spaceman takes off!
The Suburban Spaceman, Kirsty Eyre's brand-spanking new modern musical
premiered at London's Network Theatre to packed houses. It was presented by
Network Theatre Company as part of their ongoing commitment to supporting
new writers and new writing. News: October 2007 Kirsty's new show is on another planet! The Suburban Spaceman is a modern musical by Kirsty Eyre, mixing a parody of corporate life with an adventure to space. Are humans maybe the most alien beings of all? The Truman Show meets The Office and The Apprentice on Planet Billabop, packed with songs, ditties and fun!
Scheduled for performances
at Network Theatre in February 2008, there is an open reading on
13th November 2007 and open auditions on 15th and 22nd November all at
Network Theatre. News: September 2007 Success for CLASS at the Fringe
The cast of CLASS were overwhelmed by the
positive response of festival audiences to their poignant drama. Over the
thirteen night run, CLASS entertained over 700
festival-goers with its special blend of pole-dancing, biting comedy and
perspectives on the role of class in today's world. Audiences have
empathised with the convincing characters in this pacy, well-delivered drama
which carefully strips away the surface layers of their deceptions to reveal
the true characters beneath. News: August 2007 "First CLASS" ticket to Edinburgh Well, well, well… we did it! We sold out every night at our London preview week at Network Theatre and got a great review! CLASS was LOVED by all. There was always a risk that by trimming a sell-out show for an Edinburgh Fringe audience, it could lose something and become ‘Second Class’. However the general feeling and overwhelming positive feedback suggested that it was a lean, mean, well-oiled machine - racy, pacy, slick and slender.
We picked up our five stars. We picked up a fantastic review and we picked
up Network Theatre’s best selling show ever award: a great boost on
our way to Edinburgh. News: February 2007 A start-up is born
Class Stage Productions Ltd was formed to
take the box office success production,
CLASS, to
the Edinburgh Fringe and to manage
the intellectual property rights to CLASS and other works by Kirsty Eyre - past, present and
future. |
